Is your dog ready for parade season? 🥁✨ Between music, bright lights, and crowds, parades can be overwhelming for our furry friends. Here’s how to help your dog enjoy the fun stress-free!
🐾 Start Small: Play parade sounds at a low volume while your dog enjoys a treat or a favorite toy. Gradually increase the volume over multiple sessions, always watching for signs of stress. If your dog seems nervous, lower the volume and slow down the process.
🌟 Practice in Steps: Add new elements slowly—first sounds, then lights, and gentle movement or activity. Take short walks in busier environments as your pup builds confidence.
🍗 Make It Positive: Pair every new experience with positive reinforcement—extra yummy treats, playtime, or affection. Short, regular sessions work best.
👀 Watch Their Signals: If your dog looks anxious, take a break and try again later. Progress at your dog’s pace for the best results.
