🎶 Take me out to the ball game! 🎶 ⚾️🏟️🧢

I have been working with Melby for a little while now. She has had a few bites and struggles with being human social and stable. I have been working with her family through lessons and very brief board and trains. She has made some pretty good progress. You can see from the clip on the end of this video her defensive aggression has definitely been mitigated to a certain degree, but she has also learned how to not be as avoidant in new environments. When I first started getting this dog out in public she would seek any escape possible. Her stress levels from repeated systematic desensitization have significantly improved. One of the best things that can help a dog with these behaviors is a mentor dog. A dog that is confident and comfortable in social settings can in many ways teach a weaker nerved dog way better than we ever can. Panini the dachshund helped with that. Also peep her prey drive for that ball.

Ivy and Samson are with me to board! Two ends of the same spectrum in Corsos. Samson is the biggest Corso I’ve ever met, but he is also the biggest baby and has the best temperament I’ve ever seen on a Corso. Super social and well-rounded. Ivy is probably the smallest Corso I’ve ever met and like many Corsos was very defensive/cautious of me the first time I ever met her and it took a long time to gain her trust. She’s mellowed out as she’s gotten a bit older too. I love them both for different reasons! ❤️

P is one of our daytrain clients! She comes to stay with me one day out of the week and learns new things and then goes home at the end of the day. We call it going to school! She’s learned sit, down and place so far! This is something we can offer to our clients local to the Princess Anne area.

Amber and Bennie have been killing it with their task training! Girl power! 💪💕

Fun fact: Bennie was pulled from a shelter by Amber right before she was due to be euthanized. I’ve never seen a more stable and drivey shelter dog, other than a little created insecurity from a heavy handed trainer (not that a dog doesn’t need a firm hand sometimes, this dog very much didn’t need it) before we started working together. She picked the best dog for herself. Women know best. 😘
