An update from Lexi 🫶🏻
After so much thought, tears, conversations, and trying to figure out every possible option, I’ve had to make the decision to stay home with my girls. 🤍
This was not the plan I originally had, and making this decision has been incredibly difficult. With the lack of childcare, the cost of in-home childcare for two children, and rising costs of a commercial salon, continuing to work isn’t financially possible.
Walking away from something I’ve poured the last 7 years of my heart into is extremely difficult. What started as a dream, moving all the way to Kentucky for schooling, became a business, a career, a community, and such a huge part of who I am. I have met so many amazing people along the way, and I truly cannot put into words how grateful I am for every single person who has supported me.
To every client who trusted me with their dogs, recommended me to a friend, cared about my family, or simply kept coming back year after year — thank you. You are the reason I’ve been able to build what I have.
I’m going to miss the dogs, the conversations, the laughs, the busy days, and most of all, all of you. Saying goodbye to the salon chapter of my life is honestly heartbreaking, but I know that right now, being home with my girls is where I’m meant to be.
As for the salon, Sara will be taking over the space and continuing to operate as normal with her clientele. Unfortunately she does not have the capacity as one person to accommodate my clientele, so I would be happy to give you recommendations to other local salons. I am so sad to have to say goodbye for now. 💗
Thank you for giving me the most incredible 7 years. 🐾🤍🥹
With so much love and gratitude,
Lexi
