The mother daughter faces behind Rose Peek Pomskies 👋🐾
It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these, and we have so many new people here, so I figured it was time for an updated introduction!
My name is Roxanne Rose, owner and creator of Rose Peek Pomskies. I started this crazy little journey back in 2012, so 14 years of Rose Peek! 🤯
When I first started, Pomskies were brand new. I worked closely with the first Pomsky breeder here in Arizona, back when hardly anyone even knew what a Pomsky was. She had the first litter right before I met her, I was lucky enough to get one! It’s honestly wild to look back at how much this breed and our little program has changed over the years.
One of the coolest pieces of our history is Noki, a Pomsky from the very first litter in the world. 🌎 I gave her to my grandfather when she retired from our program, and she is now 14 years old. 🥹 She’s definitely gray these days, but she’s still happy and healthy, our little piece of Rose Peek history. ♥️
About 6 years ago, my mom, Doreen Clifton, joined me in breeding. By the way she got married this year! 💍 These days, Rose Peek is truly a family operation. My mom and I both raise our puppies from our own homes, and we both help run this page and care for our dogs and puppies.
We’ve also always been very intentional about keeping Rose Peek a small, hands on breeding program. Between my mom and me, we typically have only around 10 breeding females total at a time, spread between our two homes and our guardian homes.
We both have busy family lives and responsibilities outside of breeding, so keeping our program small is really important to us. We want to make sure every dog and every litter gets the individual attention, socialization and quality care they deserve. There are only so many hours in a day, and we never want to grow to a point where the number of dogs or puppies we have takes away from the time and attention we’re able to give them.
We follow a strict code of ethics in how we breed, raise and care for our dogs and puppies, and quality will always come before quantity for us. No puppy mill here! Just a small, mother daughter, small town family program. 🩷
That’s also why you may see two different phone numbers associated with Rose Peek! We’re originally from San Diego, and my mom has never given up her 619 number. 😂 Every once in a while someone sees the different numbers and gets suspicious, but I promise there are just two of us behind the scenes!
Speaking of that… SCAMMERS. 😩
Unfortunately, Facebook is still absolutely full of fake puppy pages. Scammers copy our photos, comment underneath our posts, message our followers and sometimes even pretend to be us. Please be careful. If an account reaches out to you claiming to be Rose Peek, double-check that you are actually communicating with this page which has the blue checkmark next to our name, and we have over 50k followers, not 10! They seem to multiply faster than we can block them. 🤦🏼♀️
Facebook’s animal policy also limits what breeders are allowed to post directly on the platform, which is why you’ll often see us direct everyone to our website for complete information and important “details” about our puppies. Our website listings are kept updated. We can’t risk page removal after all these years! These Facebook rules came into effect long after we started and you’d think they can’t do that, but they sure can!
A lot has changed in my own life since I wrote our last introduction. ❤️ I’m now engaged 💍 and living a beautifully full blended family life that I absolutely love. Along with being a mom to my own little guy, I’ve basically gained two more amazing kids to love, and our house and our lives are busier, louder and fuller than ever but in the best possible way. 🥹 There are busy seasons, chaotic puppy days, sleepless nights, lots of cleaning 😂, and SO many amazing moments that make it all worth it!
One thing that hasn’t changed is how grateful we are for the families who have supported us through the years. Some of you have been following Rose Peek since the beginning, and some of you have welcomed multiple Rose Peek babies into your families. That will never stop being incredibly special to us. Share your Rose Peek baby in the comments and their age! It’s so fun to see the updates and honestly the evolution of the breed!
If you’re new here… hi, we’re Roxanne & Doreen! 👋♥️ We’re the mother daughter duo behind all the puppy pictures, messages, middle of the night whelpings, endless laundry, puppy kisses and cute chaos you see on this page. 😂
And if you’ve been here for years, or you have 1, 2, 3… or even 5 Rose Peek babies running around your house, thank you for continuing to be part of our story.
14 years later, I still can’t believe this all started with one crazy idea in 2012. 🥹
Thank you for being part of Rose Peek Pomskies. 🙏♥️🐾
