Took got his first bath last week! A licky mat with peanut butter makes a good distraction! And of course, Pippin has to do his own post-bath rolls on the carpet... 🥰

Took had his first car ride since coming home from the shelter today! Little man was scared and cried with his kennel in the back, but calmed down when I brought it up to the passenger seat where he could see me. He was also nervous about the first person who tried to pet him in the strange new place, but after a couple minutes sitting on my lap in a quiet corner, he got brave enough to get down, was interested in treats again, and excited to get pets from all the nice new people!! We both had a snack in the car before we headed back home and all was well.

Little man got to sit in my lap and watch the big world out the front door today then take a nap! At this age, slow, positive exposure to new things sets him up for confidence and creates resilience to new experiences for the rest of his life!

Another beautiful sunny, (windy) Dogtoberfest!! Thank you to Kathy Smith for making these adorable give-away toys, Jason Deacon for helping to load/unload all my dang stuff and letting the puppy out at home, and to Cory Sappington and David for helping run my booth!! 🐾
