I’ve been neglecting this page, pals, sorry. Life has been lifing and when that happens I zone in on my pups, my partner, and creating sanctuary in our home to hug us all.

We do have a new member of the family, Mari. She is a super monarch that can’t fly (yet… she’s definitely trying). Vinnie likes to hang out with her, which is sweet, always the protector.

Gertie’s allergies are finally starting to calm down, Alfie is living his best life with Ed (and me when I’m there for some snuggles and treat giving—I’m the targeted sucker, for sure), and Vinnie has no interest in letting his body slow him down.

As you can see, Vin has lost a lot of weight, but he still enjoys slow walks, sun porch naps, as many treats as I can keep in the house, tubby drinks, and snuggling in with his Mama.

I love my little family so much, and choosing to live in gratitude during these small moments holds more value than spending energy on line to share it.

After seeing the news of Tatum Talks — feeling that deeply and how vulnerable they were to share their grief with us, I wanted to check in with our pals.

Hug your babies, be kind to one another, and be oh so gentle with yourself so you can authentically do the first two 🥰

Morning sunshine soaks with sister, treats and hellos at Thomas' Tails , walks to the lake, swing by The Doggie Paddle for smooches, and a little siesta with Baba.

Lots of snuggles in the AC during this heat/humidity. When we get a chance to sit on the porch, we do, though. I’m so grateful all these kiddos are still with us and I’m running purely on that joy… plus a bee and a bunny 💛

Vinnie and Ziri are both gaining weight and meds are reducing tumors… 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Alfie is wondering why he isn’t also getting extra food, lol.

Gertie’s allergies are bad, they always are this time of year… but she’s doing better than she has in the past, so we’ll take that tiny win.

Sorry, pals, I've not been posting. I took FB and IG off my phone to up the quality of life and remembering to post when I'm on my computer isn't as natural, which I suppose is a good thing.

Vinnie continues to chug along — he went to the vet this week to see if he had any new tumors around the vital organs because he's lost weight so quickly, but he doesn't (great news). I've switched his food, which he seems to be eating more of (enough to not lose more weight, but not enough to start gaining, yet). He's an old pup, this may just be him aging and I'll support him whatever way I can. This pic is him enjoying the new setup on the porch, and of course I had to share it with you all

Going into Thursday like…

He earned his vacation mode! Parasite-free and they’re both getting new foods mixed in with their raw diet to keep things exciting (and hopefully lead to weight gain for my buddy). Ziri the cat is also showing signs of improvement with her vestibular disease, and we’ve figured out how to best pill her with the least amount of stress (for her and her humans).

We’re not at 100% around here, but we’re improving daily, pals, and that is the hope both households needed!

Came home to this cuteness, pals, and I had to share 🥰

Vinnie went to the vet yesterday, bc he’s lost quite a bit of weight. I’m thinking it’s kidney issues, but we’re waiting for blood, urine, and f***l tests to come back. Whatever it is, we’ll navigate it. Vinnie’s love of life has not dimmed one bit, and I will always (obviously) advocate for him to continue enjoying it.

The day before we had my partner’s cat at the vet for what we think is vestibular disease. It’s been a week, to say the least. So if you can send any healing vibes this way, our furry kiddos will soak it all in ❤️

UPDATE: Our sweet kitten is showing signs of improvement, but we can't get her to a neurologist until Wednesday. We're still feeling hopeful on that front. Vinnie has Giardia and (yet again) another UTI. He's on meds for both and is still chugging along like nothing has happened to him. I'm hoping he starts putting weight back on soon. Gertie is battling seasonal allergies and fleas from the feral cats in our neighborhood. Alfie, if anyone has been following, is officially not a fan of camping and very happy to be back home being smothered by me and keeping an eye on his bestie cat friend. When it rains, it pours. We're just grateful we have all our babies at home with us.

I heard an odd noise in the yard and went to go see what was going on… 😆
