Pug Hollow Sanctuary - A Senior Small Dog Hospice We are a senior dog hospice that does not adopt. We are currently operating under reduced intake. Check out our webpage at

It started with one pug and a massively complicated autoimmune disorder. Today Pug Hollow is a home based Hospice and long term care sanctuary for small dogs under 25 pounds. It is unfortunate but often dogs are abandoned at shelters, vet offices or on the side of the road when they become old or ill. Some of them were family pets who became inconvenient. Others have never known what it is to be a

part of a loving home. Pug Hollow believes that every dog deserves to end his or her life with love, comfort and compassion. Our mission is to provide as many of those dogs as possible with a safe, comfortable home where they will be loved and cared for as long as they live, and where they will be compassionately assisted across the Rainbow Bridge if necessary.

The Humans have news! We’re getting a new Farmhouse on the acreage! Over the last couple of years, in the course of trying to retrofit the Old Farmhouse for accessibility, they’ve discovered that it won’t be possible to do so, and that the old house has some structural problems that would be very expensive to fix. With that in mind they shifted their focus to replacing rather than repairing. The Scribe has worked 3-5 jobs to make this possible, but it’s finally happening!
So if we get spotty on posting over the next couple of months the move is probably why...

Vinnie update! He’s feeling much better!
He went to the vet for x-rays, and an exam. They determined it was probably a shoulder sprain and arthritis. Nothing was broken or dislocated and there wasn’t any evidence of increased degeneration of the spine or shoulder.
