Our trek led us into the village, where, nestled in a quiet, shaded corner of the town green, a modest stone stood vigil. It is the kind of marker easily overlooked by everyday travelers, but a stray glint of morning light against weathered bronze gave away its presence. Etched into its face lies a ward of patient magic—a century-long temporal seal. This stoic guardian satisfies the Sentinel’s trial; though I certainly hope our own vault doesn’t demand another 74 years to open! ⏳🗝️ Perhaps the Three Sisters will have the answer.

Tomorrow, October 1, kicks off Pet Wellness Month! 🐾

Coincidentally, October 1–7 is also National Walk Your Dog Week. 🐕 We originally planned to share a few daily walking suggestions for inspiration, but—well—it turned into something much grander! (You can thank Carter for the upgrade 🐺✨)

We are posting the campaign lore tonight so you and your four-legged companion can plan your route. There are seven primary objectives to uncover, and they can be tackled in any order throughout the week. If life gets busy or daylight runs thin, fear not—find Chronos for a time extension! ⏳

Creative approximations are fully accepted if an objective isn’t directly on your path; the Game Master values clever craft and good-faith adventure above all else. 🌲📦

Now - because the infernal Facebook guards block outside doorways without collecting a fee, the very first step of your journey is a puzzle: your first trial is to find the Quest Log itself! Head directly to our main website and look for a clue on the date the adventure begins! 📜🔍

The upcoming month is packed with pet-focused holidays, so we are dedicating our October class focus to National Pet Wellness Month and Animal Safety & Protection Month!

A perfect excuse to get out, explore new trails, and encourage more movement! We’ll be hosting our 7-Up Straight Challenge to encourage everyone to get out and walk every single day of the week—stay tuned for details!

🍩 Oct 14: National Pet Obesity Awareness Day

We will be talking about promoting healthy weights, body condition scoring, and how game-based training keeps dogs active and engaged.

🥏 Oct 17: National Fetch Day

Grab your dog's favorite large orange Chuckit! ball or a frisbee and head out to the yard! This day is all about celebrating the unique bond between humans and canines, emphasizing the importance of exercise, play, and shared joy.

Get ready for a fantastic month of learning, moving, and bonding with your dogs! 🐾

Calling all frisbee-loving dogs! Our next season of frisbee league is right around the corner, and we will be repping Powhatan against over 100 other clubs all over the world.

Whether you’re a seasoned pro, a brand-new beginner, or just looking for a fun way to burn off some of that canine energy, you'll fit right in with our laid-back, easygoing club.

Why You’ll Love Playing With Us:

🥏Play Your Way: Dogs can catch soaring discs in the air or chase rollers on the ground—whatever they love most.

🥏Low Pressure: Recall not perfect yet? No problem. You are welcome to use a long line.

🥏Positive Vibes: Food rewards are allowed on the field to keep the game fun and rewarding for your dog.

🥏 Safe Space: There is strictly one dog on the field at a time, so you can focus entirely on your teammate without distractions.

The Season Details:

📆When: Monday nights at 5:30 PM (if you cant be there right at 5:30, its totally fine to come a bit later!)

⏱️Format: 90:/5 (each round is 90 seconds, your top 5 catches count) You play 2 rounds. 5-week season (we only count your top 4 weekly scores!)

💲Cost: $20 league dues

Achieving a High in Trial is an incredible feat, but taking home the Combined High in Trial requires a remarkable level of consistency, communication, and partnership across multiple runs. It represents the absolute pinnacle of the weekend's achievements and a true testament to the bond between dog and handler.

To honor this extraordinary accomplishment at our Black Tie Gala, our Combined High in Trial winner will be awarded this beautifully crafted wooden keepsake box. Featuring delicate carved details and a custom engraved plate, it is designed to be a timeless piece to hold your most treasured trial memories, favorite ribbons, or small mementos of your dog's journey.

This weekend we will be honoring High in Trial competitors. It's not something we always do- but it seemed fitting for our Black Tie theme. These are our Gala Laureates.

In the spirit of distinction, a "laureate" is one honored for exceptional achievement, marked by their remarkable skill and celebrated performance within a particular discipline. It is a fitting title for those who exemplify hard work, dedication, and true mastery in canine sports.

​We are so proud to celebrate our High in Trial competitors, who embody this level of skill and teamwork. To honor their achievement, each distinguished High in Trial winner will take home more than just a title. Each winner will receive a custom rosette and a handcrafted Amish leather leash. These leashes, with their classic tags and quality craftsmanship, serve as a functional accolade and a stunning, lasting memory of a truly remarkable accomplishment.

We had far too much fun in Amy's SD class today. The skills may have been serious stuff, but the dog's antics made learning them pure comedy gold!

"Get Small" - using the laundry basket to learn to curl up and fit in a small space (Cersei "won" learning this one!)

"Alert" - teaching escalating indications

"Get your leash/keys/etc" - self explanatory

"Switch" - move to my other side and heel on the off side

"Tuck" - get between me/counter to get out of the way (ledg and mia earned detention on this one...lol)
