It's almost June - can you believe it??
.. and June is Recall Month at REACH! 🐾

They say it takes approximately 9,000 successful repetitions to build a rock-solid, distraction-proof recall—the kind of "Come!" that makes every other owner at the park envious.

But here is the hard truth about dog training: if you get to repetition 7,268, give the command, and your dog gives you the "furry finger" instead of returning, your counter drops right back to zero. A blown recall breaks the chain of reliability. And as any handler knows, you can only reset that counter so many times before the cue loses its meaning entirely.

That is why we are dedicating the entire month of June to racking up successful reps and perfecting one of the most critical safety skills your dog can ever possess.

Cersei & Nitro practicing a nice settle while their people learned all about taking vitals; pulse, resp, temp, crt, gum color, etc in today's "Know Your Dog's Normal" class. Blaze and her daddy also attended- but i didnt get a picture. Sorry Blaze!

A little out and about today in the village with Chloe, Josette, Mia & Zeke. Students even took turns running the bases; run, get your dog to do paws up on the base, then head to the next!

((Fyi- zeke has double leashes for safety; not behavior. I often double up when I take dogs off property 'just in case'...))
