Rewards have their place, but they shouldn’t stay at the “gold star for everything” level forever.

Just like people, dogs don’t need constant praise or treats for every little thing as they grow.

Early on, rewards help teach
 but over time, expectation and accountability take over.

The goal isn’t to reward forever. It’s to build a dog that understands what’s required, even without a treat every time. That’s where real reliability comes from.
