🕷️🐶 A recent OSU study found that nearly 50% of black-legged ticks in Ohio now carry the bacteria that causes Lyme disease - up from only 2.4% in 2014! These ticks are becoming more and more numerous in Ohio and can be active any time temperatures are above freezing — not just during the summer months.
The first step in protecting your dog is making sure they are on a reliable monthly flea and tick prevention - but no prevention is perfect, and ticks can still be easy to miss.
That’s why the Lyme vaccine can be an important second layer of protection for dogs at risk!
This June, we're offering 400 bonus Pet Perks points when you get your pet's Lyme vaccine up to date. Not sure if your dog is protected? Call, text, or email us and we’ll be happy to check their vaccine and prevention status!
