This week, we’re celebrating the incredible people who make compassionate, quality veterinary care possible every single day! While veterinarians often get the spotlight, there’s an entire team working alongside them to keep your pets healthy, comfortable, and cared for. These team members deserve recognition, too!
✨ Did you know how much goes into caring for your pet?
🩺 Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) are skilled medical professionals who play a vital role in your pet’s care. They monitor anesthesia, draw blood, collect samples, perform laboratory testing, take X-rays, evaluate cytology samples, administer medications, monitor vital signs, assist with procedures, educate pet owners, and provide comfort when pets need it most.
🐾 Veterinary Assistants are an essential part of the medical team and contribute hands-on to patient care. Their responsibilities can include drawing blood, taking X-rays, preparing and evaluating cytology samples, assisting with laboratory testing and medical procedures, monitoring patients, and helping pets feel safe and comfortable. Their technical skills, attention to detail, and compassion make a difference every day.
☎️ Our Client Service Representatives (Receptionists) are often the first friendly faces and voices you encounter. They coordinate appointments, manage calls, communicate important information, help navigate scheduling and financial questions, and offer reassurance during stressful or emotional moments. They juggle countless details to help ensure every pet and person gets the support they need.
💙 So much of what these teams do happens behind the scenes. From carefully collecting a sample and helping obtain diagnostic images to comforting a frightened patient, coordinating a complicated schedule, or supporting a family through a difficult moment, every role matters.
Veterinary medicine is rewarding, but it can also be physically demanding, emotionally challenging, and unpredictable. Our team shows up every day with compassion, dedication, patience, and a genuine love for the animals entrusted to our care.
