How much do we spend on the seniors each month on feed? 🫣 Far more than we use to!!! I remember when hay pellets were $14 a bag and hay was half the cost.
This is why we are so appreciative for any and all help with the senior horses or the rescue dogs! Every single bag matters. We have lost two senior horses over the last couple years and plan to let these seven live out the rest of their days here. After they are gone we won't be taking any more in.

Did you know horses take turns standing guard while others lie down? Tziuni, the gelding standing in this photo is the girl's go to guy. He is most definitely the lead horse and has tabs on all his herd members at all times. Tziuni doesn't allow for any "new" horses to enter his pasture as he becomes increasingly aggressive towards them.
Do you have a lead horse?
