Tater has made her way back to us.

She was adopted just a few days ago, but it turns out her new canine sister didn't quite understand the concept of personal space, and Tater wasn't a fan of that arrangement.

Tater is looking for either:
🐾 An only-dog home where she can be the center of attention, or
🐾 A home with a calm, laid-back older dog who respects boundaries and isn't interested in being in her face all the time.

This sweet little girl has so much love to give and deserves a home where she can feel comfortable and secure.

If you think Tater might be a good fit for your family, you can come meet her starting Tuesday. If you currently have another dog, we will schedule a meet-and-greet before any adoption application is approved to make sure everyone gets along.

We need a foster for 3 kittens who came in with no mom. They are about 5 weeks old, so they do not need to be bottle fed and are already eating wet food.
This would be a short-term foster. We just need them to get a couple weeks older so they can leave for rescue. Litter, food, and a kennel will all be provided.

** OWNER FOUND ** We want to clear something up.

This dog showed up at a house that he doesn't live at and we were called to remove the dog since it wasn't their dog. Every dog that comes through our doors is scanned for a microchip and then posted on Facebook in our best attempt to find the owner. We do not just drive around looking for animals to pick up.

We are a staff of 4 full-time employees covering the entire county, and we don’t want your pet here any more than you do.

There are 2 easy ways to help prevent your animal from ending up at the shelter:

1. Keep them safely on your property.
2. Microchip them.

A microchip usually costs around $25, and depending on the company, we can sometimes have your contact information within minutes if kept current and get your pet back home before they even enter the shelter.

Collars are great, but tags and nameplates can fall off or become unreadable. A microchip is forever. Tracking collars are great for the person that is able to track the collar it does nothing for us.

Meet Astro 🖤

This handsome Doberman mix is looking for a patient and loving home to help him come out of his shell. Astro is around 6–8 months old, heartworm negative, current on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped.

Astro does well with other dogs, but he’s still very shy and timid right now. Shelter life can be overwhelming, and we truly believe he would thrive in a quiet home setting where he can decompress and learn that the world isn’t such a scary place.

He came in with a friend who has since been adopted, and now Astro is patiently waiting for someone to take a chance on him. At his age, he’s the perfect age for training and building confidence with his new family.

His adoption fee has been sponsored to an approved adopter.

If you would like to meet Astro, we are open Monday–Friday from 9:00–5:30.
