Effective immediately, there will be a $50 appointment fee required when you BOOK a horse viewing.
Not when you show up. Not after you ride. When you book.
The fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.
I have changed my schedule around for people who ultimately don’t show up. I have passed up other serious buyers because someone was “first in line,” only for that person to cancel at the last minute or disappear completely. I have spent easily 100+ hours over the last 3-4 months dealing with people who had no serious intention of buying a horse in the first place.
And quite frankly, I’m done.
My time has value. My schedule has value. My family has value. I have taken time away from my kids to sit at the barn and wait for people who never bothered to show up.
This fee is not about making an extra $50. It is about respecting my time and separating serious buyers from people who are simply bored and want to come look at horses.
There will be NO exemptions.
I don’t care if I’ve known you for 20 years or 20 minutes. Everyone will follow the same policy.
If you have a serious interest in a horse, I am more than happy to schedule a viewing. If you aren’t sure if you’re actually ready to buy, that’s completely fine too - but please don’t book an appointment and expect me to rearrange my day while you figure it out.
And if the $50 appointment fee is an issue for you, there are plenty of other places to shop for a horse. You let me know when you’re tired of cripples and broncs because they were free to sit on.
I’m not running a free horse shopping experience anymore.
Shared from a friend. This is the wave of the future. The new standard in horse shopping protocols.
