We had a busy day today.
We dropped off the kitten with the ruptured eye to have removed this morning at Harrisburg Pike Animal Hospital to then having a surgery consultation with orthopedics at Twin Valley Veterinary Hospital for Lilo who has two back legs that are broken.

They strongly believe on doing surgery to bolt the right leg and have it aligned back up. Then plate the left leg. Her surgery is scheduled for this Thursday the 18th and we need help raising the estimated cost of $3000 to help cover the cost of this surgery. Berks cats in crisis will be funding her case and with such a big cost we are trying to help raise the funds.

Lilo is sooo full of life and would just like a second chance to be a kitten and grow up with having all her legs. She loves attention, being petted, and playing, snuggling. You can see how much she lights up in her face with Hallee.

We have one of the siblings to the ruptured eye kitten. She is very under weight.. not even reaching a pound, boney, very bad URI. I brought her home and put in the incubator with the sibling and started treatment a few days ago and she is doing so much better. Now to just get her weight back up to where it should be.

We are almost out of litter if anyone would like to help donate and we would really appreciate it! 😸

This little lady has a rough start to life! Ruptured eye and the other eye infected. She has a runny nose and some carmelization in the ears so possible ear infection. She is really dehydrated and under weight. Somewhere between 8-10 weeks old and weight that of only a 6 weeker.

She will be seen by our wonderful veterinarian with H&L Mobile Veterinary Services in the morning to get some antibiotics started and pain medications. We will then schedule for enucleation.

Please help us raise funds for her upcoming vet visit along with her surgery as well as costs of basic vetting needs.

Update on Honey the criss crossed leg kitten

As of right now she needs to grow to 6months or older to see how her bones grow or if they even do. Then ortho can take another look to see if she can be corrected or amputations etc. as of right now its keeping her clean from urine and f***s so she doesnt get any infections. Clipping her hair to not have any f***l caked in it. So ill continue the daily or more butt baths. Applying aquaphor to help as a barrier. He said her case is a grade 4/6 hes only seen this happen in senior dogs that the bones start to twist. Luckily hers isnt causing neurologic issues so there for she is able to p*e and poo on her own with out needing to be expressed which is rare when they are deformed in the back end.

I finally found a food she is eating all up and she is finally gaining weight, just reached past 1 lb!
She is eating the Tiki kitten Mousse with a 5 day supply left. Since eating great I will add in dry food now too which would start with Tiki brand.

It has been an eventful weekend. Keeping pens clean, butts clean from Honey needing multiple bottom half baths. She has her upcoming appointment with ortho on Tuesday for some answers. A spicey trio has entered in today. They will require some socialization.

We really need playpens in order to contain the littles and peovide more room then that of a crate. However we really need bigger playpens as they make to much of a mess in the small size so we need medium on up.

We could really use blankets, sheets, towels, dry food. We are currently ok on litter however it is something that does go quickly.

Honey had her first check up Yesterday after throwing up what appeared to be bloody bile. After examination at this time is determined to be the cause of worms/ parasites. She was also dehydrated, and had mild crusting in her right eye. She was given some fluids and medications to help with her upset tummy. She was put on so GI food for a few days and a dose of deworming. Through the night she has pooped a good amount compared to her first day and is over all doing much better. She talks to come put of her play pen for attention and begins purring. She is eating great as well.

She is scheduled with ortho next Tuesday for some xrays and hopefully some diagnosis. Yesterdays vet visit was $250. Please continue to help support miss Honey! 🥰

Our new little handicapped friend! This lil one has crossed back legs. She uses her front legs to walk and drags her back legs. We will be calling ortho Monday morning to get her on the books for evaluation and x-rays. She is oh so sweet and doesnt even know shes different, trying to climb a cat tree!
She is eating great and using the bathroom on her own.

This beautiful lady is looking at a second chance in life with the right family! Her precious owner sent her for euthanasia for p*eing outside the litter box. One of the veterinary staff took her home and upon a examination it did not seem like she was very well taken care of. She got her fixed vaccinated in a full work up to which all results were outstanding. She loves headbutting and licking your hand and his overall very sweet at this time. It is unknown how she is with other animals unfortunately with her being 12 years old, we know she is not going to be first choice over a younger cat, but we can at least try and hope someone is in need of her just as much as she’s in need of them.
