โผ๏ธAttention all Pottstown friends โ it has been a week and a half and we are still searching for Mayaโผ๏ธ
There's a lot of misinformation circulating out there, and we just want to clear things up and state the facts. We've remained silent for too long, and now we need the community's help.
Unfortunately, the adopter who had her for only a few hours did not follow our instructions, and she got out of their yard very quickly. Puppy mill dogs are very scared and skittish and many must remain on a leash, even in a fenced in yard. We are always very clear about this.
To make matters worse, he is now taking down our flyers around the neighborhood and replacing them with his own, listing only his number.
He breached our contract by failing to report any sightings and misrepresenting his yard โ this directly led to Maya getting loose and remaining missing. Because of this, she will not be returning to his home. Maya is a puppy mill mom who spent four years in a crate, and she will not be safe going back there.
Without going into detail, things have become contentious, but our only focus is right now is finding Maya safely.
Please help by ๐ฌ๐ก๐๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ฌ ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐๐ซ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ฐ๐ข๐๐ and letting people know to call ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ง๐ฎ๐ฆ๐๐๐ซ, ๐๐๐-๐๐๐-๐๐๐๐, not his, if they spot her. The police are involved as well, and they will be contacting us directly โ Maya is registered to Rylie's Rescue and will be coming back to us.
