We’re officially BACK HOME!

We landed at the airport to a text from one child saying, “GUESS WHATTTT”…

Meanwhile, the other child was sitting at home with a BROKEN WRIST.

Yep. Broken wrist. And apparently asking her brother, neighbor, or literally anyone in the family for a ride to the hospital was not on the agenda. Even though everyone had been told, “Call if you need anything!”

She decided to try rollerblading . She wore ALL the protective gear… except, of course, the wrist guards. Because why would we need those?

So needless to say, it has been quite the welcome home. 😂

But we’re home, getting settled, and getting back into the kitchen!

CINNAMON SWIRL SOURDOUGH
Soft sourdough swirled with sweet cinnamon sugar throughout.

LEMON COOKIES
Soft, sweet cookies bursting with bright, fresh lemon flavor.

CHOCOLATE STRAWBERRY COOKIES
Rich chocolate cookies with sweet strawberry flavor, inspired by chocolate-dipped strawberries.

SPECIAL OF THE WEEK: SALTED CARAMEL BROWNIES
Rich, fudgy chocolate brownies swirled with sweet caramel and finished with a touch of sea salt.

One of the places I’ve wanted to visit since before I ever set foot in Florida… The Bubble Room!

When I first started looking into Florida, this was one of the places that immediately went on my must-visit list. Then hurricane after hurricane came through, and every time they rebuilt and kept going.

Today, we finally made it there for lunch!

It was every bit as fun, colorful, and over-the-top as I imagined. Definitely worth the wait and another little Florida adventure checked off the list!

The last few days have been all about exploring and enjoying Florida a little differently. We’ve been checking out new beaches, relaxing at pool bars, kayaking, collecting shells, and just taking in everything around us.

One of my favorite moments was our kayak trip through a beautiful little grove and out toward an island sandbar, where we got to see a manatee along the way. There’s something pretty special about being out on the water and seeing wildlife like that in its own space.

Lots of exploring, plenty of sunshine, and making some really good memories along the way.

What a beautiful day exploring Florida!

This morning’s walk brought us an unforgettable sight: Mama gator and her 32 babies! 🐊

This afternoon we enjoyed a peaceful walk along the beach and found so many beautiful shells.

And to finish the day, we headed out for a nighttime history tour. Such a fun day filled with wildlife, sunshine, the beach, and a little history!

Making memories and enjoying every minute of this trip. ❤️
