Thank you to everyone that brought in their cats last week and participated in our Feral Cat Spay Day and Go Nuts Day! Thank you for helping reduce local feral cat populations and keep all cats in our area and the surrounding communities healthier!

Also, thank you to the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine Shelter Medicine Club students that participated in Go Nuts Day even though they are still on summer break.

We are running another Summer Weekly Special this week (August 10th-14th): highlighting arthritis. Is your pet slowing down? Not going on as long of walks? Is your cat hiding more or not jumping up as much? Or are they slower to get up? Arthritis is, unfortunately, a very common disease in our pets as they age. However, we have many options available to help keep your pets (and horses too) comfortable.

This week is the last week of our Summer Farm and House call specials. Our last round of destinations for this special are:
Worley for Farm Call Thursday (August 13th) and Emida for House Call Friday (August 14th).

Give us a call to get on our special day schedule, at least 48 hours in advanced. 208-875-4838.

This special is for a reduced price farm/house call travel fee to any farm/home within 10 miles of these towns.

If you missed out on our Summary Farm and House call specials, we offer farm and house calls regularly year round. You can always give us a call to get on the schedule for us to come to your home or farm to provide quality veterinary care for all your animals.

Happy August! There is a lot going on this week at Potlatch Vet Clinic!

1. Monthly community education night is tomorrow (Tuesday Aug 4th) at 6pm. This month's topic is Allergies in Dogs and Cats. It is not too late to call us to RSVP for this FREE lecture!

2. Thursday (August 6th) is our special Feral (and Barn) Cat Spay Day. $110 for female cat spay, rabies vaccination, and required ear tip.

3. Finally, Saturday is our next Go Nuts Day. $40 for male cat neuter and rabies vaccination.

We have enjoyed being able to provide care to many of your livestock, horses, and pets at your farms and homes this summer (and always). We have just two more weeks of our Summer Farm and House Call special.

This week we will be headed to Bovill for Farm Call Thursday (8/6) and Harrison for House Call Friday (8/7). Those of you within 10 miles of these towns should give us a call at least 48 hours in advance to get on the schedule for these days to take advantage of our special reduced farm/house travel fee price. There are a wide range of services that we can offer on our farm and house calls, give us a call for more details. 208-875-4838.

Getting your pets an annual or bi-annual senior wellness exam is important to find health issues that come with aging as soon as possible. We want to see your senior pets and help them stay healthy and happy!
