Check out what we found in a dog’s eye this week!

This is a grass seed. It had gotten trapped behind the dog’s third eyelid. Every time the dog blinked his eye the grass seed rubbed against his cornea. This caused a large and painful ulcer. After some meds and TLC, his eye is doing much better!

Everyone meet Greyson!

Greyson came to us last week with chronic upper respiratory issues, not gaining weight, and generally not doing well.
On exam, we could hear him almost making a snorting noise. Dr. Tackett decided to take an x-ray and we found a nasal polyp. Check out this video of us removing the polyp and Dr. Tackett explaining what is happening.
Greyson’s person gave us a great update this week, Greyson is doing amazing and is a very happy and growing kitty!

Let’s talk about Bobcat Fever

What is it?
Bobcat fever is an infection that our cats get from ticks. This infection can be fatal quickly.

What are the signs?
Common symptoms of Bobcat fever are lethargy, fever, not eating, and the yellowing of the skin (jaundice). Bobcat Fever is quickly damaging. If your cat is showing these signs, call us right away!

What can you do?
Prevention is the key to keeping our feline friends safe! Use a monthly tick prevention like Nexgard Combo to keep the ticks away. If your cat is not on preventions, call us today to get them started!
