COME SEE US TOMORROW!!! 🐾❗️✨🥹

Our adoptions have dropped significantly (to the point that we’ve only had ONE adult kennel dog adopted recently along with a select few puppies and cats/kittens 😔) so we are hoping to change that tomorrow! 🤭

We have every dog and cat imaginable! The playful ones, the couch potatoes, the seniors, the youngins, and everything in between 🥰

We will be open tomorrow, Saturday, the 5th, from 10am - 4pm! Our facility is located at 80 Easter Drive, Portsmouth, OH! We hope to see you soon ♥️

After being with us for over 10 MONTHS, Carmela has officially been adopted!! 🩷

We have 6 older puppies that have been with us for nearly their ENTIRE LIVES! 💔

Cubbie and Chessie are just a few months away from turning 2 years old and have been with us since January of 2025.

Darcy and Duffy are now 1.5 years old and have been with us since April of 2025.

Griswold and Rudolph are now a year old and have been with us since November of 2025.

We have posted them numerous times, but they are still here with us waiting to be adopted. Since all they have known is the shelter, they will NEED TIME TO DECOMPRESS. We are seeking adopters that are ready to give them the time and patience they will need to adjust to a new environment ♥️

All residents adopted from us are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and updated on vaccines and preventatives. If you have other dogs in your home, please bring them for a meet & greet! Cat testing can be done at our facility if needed as well (with our residents).

If you feel ready to add one of our residents to your family, please come see us. We are open Monday - Saturday, 10am - 4pm @ 80 Easter Drive, Portsmouth, OH! 📍

Beautiful boy, Sokka, is ready to find his forever home!!! 🥹🩵🌟🐶

Sokka is a 9.5 month old Husky mix! He was adopted from us as a puppy but made his way back to us recently. He is already neutered and updated on all vetting! 🎉

He appears to be dog friendly but we always suggest a meet & greet with any dogs in the home to ensure everyone does well together!

Come see us on September 19th from 12pm - 8pm (we extended it 2 hours this year 🎉) at the Scioto County Fair Grounds for Barks, Beer, & BBQ! 🖤

There will be *many* pets there available for adoption, live music, delicious food, awesome vendors, and so much more! All proceeds from this event directly benefit our facility and the 250+ animals that we care for daily! 🥹

Now THIS is a story we have to tell 🥹

Robert left his home in Pennsylvania at 7 in the morning. He had some obstacles along the way.

He was stopped by construction. 🚧🦺

He kept going.

He hit another (metaphorical) bump in the road.

He kept going.

11 hours after his take off, Robert made it to our facility to adopt Penn. 🫶🏼🐾

He was caught up not just once but TWICE on his way to Ohio!

Most would have turned around and called it a day, but not Robert.

That is the kind of love every adoptee deserves. The kind of stories we love to witness and are honored to tell.

Happy Tails, Penn! We know Robert will stop at nothing to give you the best life ever! 🐾
