Winning game name for last weeks exercise is "Mean Kristina" and back up is "Are you my source?"
Purpose: to find source
Exercise:
-put out 1-4 (depending on size of area) hides.
-Run dogs
-remove all hides and put 1-2 hides close to where the other hides were at (different chair, under table when it was under chair, etc...) now odor will be going to the "lingering odor area"
-run dogs again ( most likely on one of the hides the dogs will go to the linger odor area. It is important not to say anything like "find it" if they "alert". You want them to sniff the area again and go looking for where the source is coming from. You can go look at the area as in you are helping the dog to find where it is)
-we are verifying that source is what pays and not just the odor.

Of course there are a lot of disclaimers that go with this and having a third party perspective is very important.

Ive already been called mean for this weeks nose work game. I'm thinking of a name.
"Who moved my cheese?"
"Are you my source?"
I'll explain the game at the end of the week.
