🐾 What does catnip really do to cats?
Catnip (a mint-family plant) contains a compound called nepetalactone that triggers a sensory reaction in many cats. When they smell it, it can spark bursts of playful energy—rolling, zoomies, and silliness—followed by a calm, relaxed state.
Not every cat is affected (it’s genetic!), and reactions can vary from excited to chill. The ā€œhighā€ usually fades within about 20–30 minutes, leaving your cat mellow and sleepy.
✨ Bottom line: catnip isn’t just entertaining—it can enrich your cat’s life by encouraging play, reducing stress, and providing a fun mental boost.

🐶 My dog ate a bee… now what?
In most cases, eating a bee isn’t a big deal—your dog can usually digest it without trouble. The real risk is if they get stung while trying to eat it, especially in the mouth or throat.
What to watch for šŸ‘€:

Swelling (face, mouth, or throat)
Drooling or pawing at the mouth
Vomiting or diarrhea
Lethargy or trouble breathing

Mild reactions are common, but serious issues can happen—especially if your dog is allergic or swelling affects their airway. Severe reactions (anaphylaxis) need immediate vet care.
Quick tips āœ…:

Check for a stinger and remove it if you can
Apply a cold compress to reduce swelling
Monitor closely for 24 hours
Call your vet right away if symptoms worsen

✨ Bottom line: Most dogs are fine—but keep a close eye, because a sting (especially in the mouth) can turn serious fast.
