Taylor and I absolutely love Bellah.

She came to our first Handler School already doing great work with Gryffin, then ran full sprint into every opportunity to grow. We watched her choose Trout, train her, and put that work into the field. We watched her take on Rooster, a dog who came to us struggling after working with a department in Idaho, and help him become operational. Seeing her passion and what she’s done with Gryf, Trout & Rooster has been one of the most rewarding things for us to watch these past couple years.

When Taylor and I started this, we wanted to build a place where handlers could find their own path, grow with their dogs, and simply win. Bellah saw what we were working so hard to build: a home. She’s become someone we can count on, on and off the field.

Now she’s taking the lead on team trainings and tracking our training logs, helping all of us hold the standard as we continue to grow. Bellah, thank you for being you. We’re proud of you and so glad you’re here.

This school is open to handlers who:
    • Have a dog
    • Need to be paired with a dog
    • Those interested in becoming a handler in the future.

Our school will begin with an online classroom portion for the first 3-4 days followed by 10-11 days of operational in the field training time. We will use training locations such as car lots, schools, amphitheaters and others to help create real world training scenarios.

It’s been eyes forward since spring, and as we head into the second half of our season, fall is already shaping up to be a busy one.

With that momentum, we’re excited to announce that we’ll soon be releasing the dates for our one-and-only Handler School in Q1 of 2027.

If you’ve been looking for a way to break into the detection K9 industry, this will be a great opportunity.

Handlers that complete this course will have several months to continue training, earn certification (if not already certification-ready), and be operational before our full spring deployment season begins.

Don’t have a dog yet? We will have a very limited K9 pairing option available for qualified applicants at an additional cost.

This school is intentionally kept small to provide the highest level of instruction and mentorship we can give, and we only plan to hold one Handler School in 2027. We have some incredible venues that we will be incorporating this next school!

And we’re back! As I drove my 20hr drive that took me 26hrs 🙄….back from 2026 Coachella/Stagecoach, I found myself overwhelmed with gratitude. Gratitude for all of our friendships and relationships that Taylor and I have acquired over the past couple years.

To , thank you again for another insanely great year. There are so many that I’d like to tag and thank for this year specifically but just know that if we connected this year in any way, short or long, thank you. Could not be more thankful getting to work alongside every one of you. BIG shoutout to for everything, not enough lines on here to write, so 🙏🏽.

We’ve been wanting to start sharing industry-focused topics since the start of the year to spark conversation, and now we’d like your input!

How would you prefer to see this content delivered?

What content? We’d like to dive into areas like:

• Industry-wide trends
• Training methods & logs
• Certifications
• Deployments
• Perspectives that aren’t always openly discussed or often one-sided.

Our goal with this is to provide useful, real-world insights that help handlers and companies grow, improve, and stay informed.

We’re still actively looking for K9 handlers for the upcoming season.

We’re currently curating a roster for several larger contracts for both our team and some of our partners who are also seeking qualified handlers. While not everyone will be the right fit for every assignment, we value building a strong network and will absolutely keep qualified teams in mind for future opportunities.

If you don’t currently have a dog or are looking to get into the industry, we may have specific opportunities available for you as well. Please fill out the form to the best of your ability.

Before inquiring, please make sure you meet the following requirements:
 • Third-party certification • Mobile certification (required for select contracts) • Up-to-date training logs • Insurance coverage • Valid state licensing

Contracts will begin ramping up at the start of June. We’re looking forward to connecting with you.

We’ve been so busy we almost forgot to share how much fun we had a couple weeks ago in Seattle.

We had a couple new faces out there with us. K9 Edna and her handler Ashley came out and had some fun.

From the start, Taylor and I have always been about helping new handlers just work their dogs. Whether it’s with us or alongside another group, that’s always been the mission.

Seeing another handler step onto a contract with us just fuels that fire even more.

Spring Handler School | April 15th–19th

This course will provide a fast overview of foundational principles, with a heavy emphasis on vehicle and mobile odor searches, especially mobile.

Our goal is not just to help prepare handlers for mobile certification, but to teach the critical difference between certifying and being truly deployable. Real-world readiness requires more than meeting a standard on test day.
