Staff member appreciation post: it's our Michelle!
Michelle is one of our certified veterinary technicians that works on the surgery team.
Her role is getting patients prepped for surgery, monitoring them during their procedure and helping make sure they have an uneventful recovery from anesthesia.
It's only fitting Michelle's post happens in October, as she is our lover of Halloween and all things spooky, but is a person that radiates light.
I'm not sure how I don't have a single photo of her with a cat as she is one of the first team members to greet and offer love to our kitty patients
When Michelle isn't hanging out with us at the clinic, she is off exploring and enjoying all Portland has to offer.
Michelle, thank you for being you and being a part of the team.

Sometimes a big jump lands you with a broken leg, or at least that's what happened to little Rocio here.

In the future when making bandage art, we will have the patient in sight, so as not to make the art the same size as them.

Appa here is getting a little exposure therapy.
Earlier in the week Appa was chasing a squirrel and came down on his foot breaking his heel. If only he had used his air bending skills.
To try to prevent future squirrel chasing, we have placed a squirrel on Appa's bandage, hopefully turning them into just a boring background when he sees future ones.

Petra was brought to the US from Mexico. Unfortunately, being intact and roaming in Mexico, Petra contracted an ailment called TVT. Luckily, TVT is a curable cancer, and that's what we intend to do.
