Summer may be winding down, but your pets probably didn’t get the memo. From long walks and backyard adventures to camping trips, dog park play dates, and all those extra hours outside, they’ve been busy making the most of the season.

As we head into fall, it’s a good time to take stock! Are vaccines up to date? Are flea, tick, and parasite preventatives still on board? Have you noticed any changes in weight, energy, appetite, skin, or behavior? A little end of summer check in can help set your pet up for a happy, healthy season ahead! 🍂

🐾 Happy Wellness Wednesday 🐾

Pets are pretty good at keeping their own schedules: breakfast, nap, snack, zoomies, repeat!

That’s part of why subtle changes can be easy to miss. Maybe your cat is drinking a little more water. Your dog isn’t quite as excited about the stairs. Their weight has crept up, their breath smells different, or they’re just… not quite themselves.

None of these things necessarily mean something is wrong, but they’re worth paying attention to. Your observations at home are an important part of your pet’s care, and sometimes the smallest changes give us the biggest clues.

So this week, take a minute to notice your pet’s normal. You know them better than anyone!

It’s an orange cat Wellness Wednesday! 🐈

A little reminder that staying on top of your pet’s wellness care can make a big difference in keeping those tails wagging and purrs going. From routine exams and vaccines to flea, tick, and parasite prevention, preventative care helps us catch potential problems early and keep your pets feeling their best!

And if you share your home with an orange cat, you already know they require a special kind of wellness plan…. mostly because they’ve collectively agreed to use their one brain cell for mischief!

Whether your pet is a certified troublemaker, a professional napper, or somewhere in between, we’re here to help keep them happy, healthy, and thriving!

Hi friends! MTVC will be closed on Saturday, August 22nd and reopen for normal hours on Monday the 24th.

Happy Wellness Wednesday!

Sometimes keeping your pet healthy isn’t about doing something big, it’s about keeping up with the little things. Regular wellness exams help us catch changes early, keep vaccines and preventatives on track, and make sure your pet is feeling their best from nose to tail. 🐾

Honestly, we’ll never complain about having an excuse to see those happy faces and toe beans! 💞

🌲 💛 Wellness Wednesday 💛 🌲

Wildfire season isn’t just hard on us, it can be hard on our pets too.

Smoke can irritate your pet’s eyes and airways, especially if they’re seniors, brachycephalic (smoosh faced), have asthma, heart disease, or other respiratory conditions. Even healthy pets can be affected when air quality is poor.

If your pet seems to be struggling to breathe or their symptoms aren’t improving after getting indoors, give us a call. We’re happy to help determine whether they should be seen.

Stay safe, stay inside when you can, and give your furry family members an extra cuddle today!
