What an amazingly fun day we had at SOC's 16th & 17th SCWK Trials! It was so exciting to watch handlers enjoy working and having fun with their dogs! Once again we welcomed many new teams to this fast growing, ever challenging performance sport. The enthusiasm of the handlers and the camaraderie of old and new friends had everyone smiling on this beautiful April day in Maine.
Without the tireless work of all our volunteers, these trials would not have been possible. Thank you very much for all your work before, during and after the trials. Your friendliness, flexibility and eagerness to pitch in wherever needed helped the trials run smoothly & enjoyably.
An extra big thank you to Kathy Hall, our trial secretary. For all her work before the trial organizing the details to her efficiency during and after both trials, we are all very grateful. You're a great partner in this endeavor!
I am especially appreciative of our trial judges, Bob Cuzner and Andrea MacRitchie. Throughout the long day they were always cheerful, welcoming, patient and kind to all. We had so very many compliments about their willingness to educate and encourage the teams.
Thank you to everyone, our judges, our volunteers and our handlers, for making these trials so successful and fun! I hope you enjoyed the day as much as I did. I look forward to seeing you all at SOC's September 19, 2026 SCWK Trial!
