Rocky our 130 pound Saint Bernese has been been under the care of Dr. Steve Haley and his staff for several years now.

We decided to get his shots updated and an exam since he is now 6 1/2 years old. His labs came back perfect! His joints and ligaments have absorbed so many massive days on the volcanoes and mountains here in the PNW.

He yelped the other day as he got out of the rig and favored his front right shoulder, and has had stiffness in the morning. So he gets a lot of stretching in the mornings or after a long nap. His age, which is roughly nearing mine means it’s time to limit his barreling down mountains behind me on skis. Now it’s gotta be less impact on his joints and ligaments.

Rocky is the kinda guy that will mask his pain from me, and I’d imagine some of you to, it’s now my responsibility to slow him down so he can live a healthy, somewhat pain free life. He’s accomplished so much and will still have many more objectives in front of him. Just more caution and less pace downhill.

Dr. Haley helped us understand the stage he’s now in. I love being his center.

Thank you Steve! 🐶🐾♥️👍🏼
