Somewhere along the way, fresh dog food became an all-or-nothing thing.

Feed 100% fresh or why bother?

We don’t really agree.

If adding some fresh food to your dog’s diet is what works for your dog, your budget and your actual life — that still matters.

It doesn’t have to be perfect to be worth doing.

So we’re curious: if you’ve thought about feeding fresh but haven’t made the switch, what’s stopped you?

Cost? Convenience? Storage? Not knowing where to start? Something else?

We genuinely want to know.

Every dog food brand out there says “local.” Most of them mean it’s made somewhere far away and shipped to your door in a box.

Ours is made on SE Foster Road in Portland. Same kitchen, every batch.

The other half of the story is who picks up when you have a question. Not a support ticket. A person named Beth who actually knows your dog’s order.

Small-batch, kitchen-made, and close enough that “local” isn’t just a word on the bag.

Four Portland farmers markets. One Saturday. Free meatball samples for every dog who shows up.

We're bringing gently cooked dog food, made this week in our kitchen on SE Foster Road, to Beaverton, Hillsboro, Sellwood, and Cedar Mills this Saturday, July 18.

Your dog gets a sample. You get to ask a real person the hard questions - ingredients, portions, whether it's worth the money.

Market-only: a $20 Good Neighbor pack, a 1.5lb bag of meatballs and a pouch of beef gravy.
