I am a Portland native and have kept residence in Maine for my entire life. As a child I was fascinated by animals but did not formally work with them until my employment at the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland in 2016. First working for 4 years in the Canine Department and then 2 years in Behavior and Training Department. I met many wonderful mentors and was given the opportunity to learn

, grow and experience dogs and community members in so many different ways. Those experiences fueled my passion to further my personal education, including attaining my associated degree and my CPDT-KA. I loved being able to connect with dogs, connect dogs with people and increase the happiness they share through these experiences. I am so excited to work and engaged with the community I grew up in.
