Somewhere in my crazy logic of late I thought I should NOT teach Tigg to sit or lay down (he was showing conformation at the time and I THINK I was worried about him sitting in the ring when he got bored). ANYWAY...now at 2 y/o old he WILL/WOULD NOT sit for the life of me trying.... anything/anyway I knew how to do to teach him. I finally reached out to a professional trainer Better You Dog Training in the PDX area to help me!! In 15 minutes "Dallas" had Tigg sitting and laying down WITHOUT treats and no real resistance. Tigg TOTALLY enjoyed the experince and was more than happy to work with Dallas.
I got great help with how to carry this training home and practice. I FULLY recommend him and his methods if you are wanting EASY, successful training you can use at home to improve the lives of pups, and you...of course :-) I plan to return for follow up and anything else we might need as well as recommend him to any future puppy and dog placements!! ALSO he is a AKC CGC (Canine Good Citizen) evaluator so if you are looking to add that title to your pup's accomplishments get in touch with him...we will on our future needs!!
