Wyrm was so brave for her enucleation! An enucleation is a surgical procedure where the eye is carefully removed. It may be recommended when an eye is severely damaged, painful, diseased, or otherwise unable to be saved. While it sounds scary, removing a painful or nonfunctional eye can greatly improve a pet’s comfort and quality of life. ❤️
