Pop quiz, no wrong answers... is your dog's microchip actually up to date? 👀🐾

Here's what most people don't realize: a microchip is only as good as the contact info attached to it. Changed your number? Moved? If the registry still has your old info, that chip can't bring your pup home.

Take 5 minutes today:
✔️ Log in to your chip registry and confirm your phone number
✔️ Update your address if you've moved
✔️ Ask your vet to scan the chip at your next visit (chips can migrate!)

Not sure which registry you're with? Your vet can look it up from the chip number. Future you will be so glad you did. ❤️🐶

🚨 3 things every dog parent can do TODAY to be more prepared:

1️⃣ Check that your pup's ID tags and microchip information are up to date.
2️⃣ Put together a pet emergency kit with food, water, medications, a leash, records, and other essentials.
3️⃣ Save a list of pet-friendly emergency shelters, hotels, boarding facilities, or friends/family who could help if you ever need to leave home.

You may never need your emergency plan—but if you do, you'll be glad you made one. 🐶❤️
