✨ Big Changes Are Coming to Tailored Tails! ✨
While I’ve been laying here recovering, I’ve had A LOT of time to think, brainstorm, and dream about ways I can make Tailored Tails even better. 💜🐾
When I return, I’ll be changing the way I groom because I want every single dog to receive a truly personalized spa day tailored specifically to them. 🛁✨
These changes will officially take effect in October 2026.
🛁 A TRUE SPA DAY
Every dog will receive TWO baths to make sure they are completely clean and fresh! After their bath, they will be:
✨ Blow dried
✨ Fluff dried
✨ Finished and styled specifically for them
Fluff drying means your pup will be 100% completely dried and fluffed out, which will also help them look even fluffier and give their haircut a beautiful finish! 🐶💜
Because I’m changing my technique and taking more time with each dog, appointments may take a little longer — but I truly believe your pup deserves that extra time and attention.
🐾 ONLY TWO DOGS A DAY
Going forward, I will only groom TWO dogs per day.
This allows me to slow down, focus on each individual pup, build a better relationship with them, and give them the 5-star treatment they deserve. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
For my larger dogs, I may only schedule ONE dog that evening so I can give them my full attention.
🐕 DOUBLE-COATED DOGS
Huskies, German Shepherds, and other similar double-coated breeds that require a major deshed will be scheduled as my last appointment of the day.
This allows me plenty of time to thoroughly clean and reset the salon afterward. 🧹🐾
🦷 NEW ADD-ON: TEETH BRUSHING
I’m adding teeth brushing for just $5! 🪥🐶
And for those stinky little Frito feet… 😂🐾
🐾 NEW MEDICATED PAW SOAK — $10
For dogs with ye**ty, smelly, irritated paws, I’ll be offering a medicated paw soak for $10 to help give those feet some extra TLC.
🐾 NAIL TRIM NIGHTS ARE COMING BACK!
I’ll also be bringing back my monthly nail trim-only nights!
The day of the week will rotate each month so I can hopefully accommodate more schedules. 💅🐾
🚫 LESS CRATING, MORE COMFORT
One of the biggest changes I’ve recently started implementing is scheduling appointments so that your dog will not be crated during their visit.
I have already seen AMAZING results from this. Dogs are calmer, happier, and more comfortable when they don’t have to spend time waiting in a crate. 🥹💜
The crates will still be available because I do have some pups who actually prefer to relax in their crate with the door open while waiting for their owners.
As always, I’ll continue to work with each dog individually and do what makes them feel safest and most comfortable.
💜 WHY AM I MAKING THESE CHANGES?
Because I never want Tailored Tails to just be a place where your dog gets a haircut.
I want it to be their spa day.
A place where they feel safe.
A place where they are treated like family.
A place where I can take my time, listen to what they need, and give them the individualized care they deserve. 🐾💜
I’m constantly looking for ways to improve my services and make the experience better for both you AND your pup.
These changes will take effect in October, and my schedule is already being set up to accommodate them.
And honestly… I MISS YOU GUYS SO MUCH! 🥹💜
I miss all those wagging tails, happy faces, excited pups, and seeing all of you!
I’ll have another update Thursday after my appointment to let everyone know whether I’ll be able to reopen on September 7th or if I’ll need to take another week to recover.
