This handsome gentleman has quite the story. ❤️

Clark was rescued many years ago from a truly horrible situation by a good friend of mine—and seeing the life he has now is exactly why rescuing matters.

Despite everything in his past, Clark has the BEST personality. He is sweet, agreeable, and just rolls right along with the grooming process. For his blowout and brushing, we broke out a Happy Hoodie to make things a little quieter and more comfortable... and then, of course, we had to finish his transformation with that magnificent mohawk. 😎😂

These days, Clark's biggest concerns are being properly spoiled by his family and getting in as much Frisbee time as humanly—or dogly—possible. 🥏🐾

From a terrible beginning to a life filled with love, comfort, ridiculous awesome hairdos, and Frisbees.

I'd say Clark won. ❤️

Yesterday was my first day back in the salon with multiple appointments in one day since starting my new treatment on Friday…

I’m very happy to report: SO FAR, SO GOOD! 🙌💗

Juneau, Jade, and Snuggles kept me plenty busy, and the biggest thing I noticed wasn’t just that I got through the day — I felt GOOD doing it.

I didn’t feel like I was dragging myself across the finish line by the last dog. I wasn’t completely wiped out afterward. My pain continues to be dramatically less than what I had gotten used to living with every single day.

It’s still VERY early. I’m not declaring victory after one week, and I know there may be some bumps along the way as my new treatment continues and dosages are adjusted.

But right now?

I am cautiously, ridiculously hopeful. 🥹

I purposely kept my schedule lighter while starting this treatment because I had absolutely no idea how my body was going to respond. So far, though, my body seems to be saying, “Ohhhh… THIS is better.” 😁🥳

Getting through a normal grooming day feeling like I still had some gas left in the tank afterward?

That feels like a pretty damn big win. 💗🐾

We finished out the day with this sweet soul!

Teddy has those tighter curls that take a little extra time and patience to get completely dry and properly brushed out. But thankfully, Teddy thinks the whole drying process is basically his own personal massage session. 😂

Warm air, gentle hands, plenty of scritches… yes, please. 🥰

I never mind taking that extra time especially when the dog is relaxed and enjoying the process. There’s absolutely no reason to rush it.

After his bath, blowout and thorough line brushing, all those curls were clean, fluffy and ready for his haircut. ✂️

And look at that handsome face afterward! 😍

Teddy is such a gentle, sweet guy and was the perfect little gentleman to finish out my grooming day. 💙🐾

Apparently today was Jumping Bean Day in the salon! 😂

Rosie is another little bundle of love, happiness and ENERGY who seems to believe all four feet touching the floor at the same time is completely unnecessary.

And just LOOK at all that fluff after her bath, blowout and line brushing! 😳🤣 There really is a dog hiding underneath there!

We also had a pretty nasty storm roll through while I was grooming Rosie... thunder, rain and even a little blip in the power... and Rosie?
Completely unbothered. 💅😂

She just carried on with her spa day like nothing was happening.

A fresh haircut, a cute bandana, and suddenly I could see those sweet little eyes again. 🥰

Rosie is such a happy, loving little soul… and there is definitely never a dull moment when she's in the salon! 💚🐾

This little lady brings enough energy into the salon to power the place all by herself. 😂

Roxie is ALWAYS happy, ALWAYS excited… and apparently part kangaroo, because this girl can JUMP. And I mean HIGH. 🤣

Trying to get a picture of her is an adventure because sitting still is simply not part of Roxie’s life philosophy. 📸💨

But would you LOOK at that transformation?! 😍

After her bath, blowout and thorough line brushing, Roxie turned into one giant ball of FLUFF before it was time to give her that fresh haircut. ✂️

Underneath all that floof was one seriously adorable little lady! 💕

Roxie may keep me on my toes, but you can't help but smile when she's around. Her happiness is absolutely contagious! 🥰🐾

If sunshine had four legs... her name would be Poppy. ☀️🐾💗

Every 5 weeks this sweet little lady comes in for her spa day, and she never fails to brighten mine!

Before we even get started, she's already trying to cover me in kisses, and remind me that dogs really do have a special way of making everything better.

Today Poppy enjoyed her full spa treatment:
🛁 Luxurious bath
💨 Hand blow dry
✂️ Haircut
🐾 Nail trim
👂 Ear cleaning
🫧 And her favorite... a Fizzy Paw Soak to help soothe her sensitive, irritated feet.

Some dogs come in for grooming... Poppy comes in to spread happiness. ❤️

Meet Taco! 🌮🐾

Taco was a brand-new client today, and I don't think he got the memo that first appointments are supposed to be stressful. 😄

He was an absolute gentleman from start to finish! He soaked up all the attention, enjoyed his bath, and even sat politely for his nail trim without a single complaint.
I'd happily spend every day with pups like this sweet little guy! 🥰

✨️⚕️A Little Personal Update ⚕️✨️

I wanted to give all of my wonderful clients a quick heads-up...

This Friday, I'll be starting a new weekly medication that my doctors are hoping will help manage my autoimmune disease and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS).
This is an off-label use for the medication, so... while I'm optimistic, I honestly don't know yet how my body will respond or what side effects I may experience.

I intentionally scheduled a lighter workload next week and chose to begin the medication on a Friday, hoping any side effects will have the weekend to settle before I'm back in the salon on Monday.

That said... our bodies don't always follow the plan (and mine NEVER does 😅)
As my dosage is gradually adjusted over the coming weeks and months, there is a possibility I may occasionally need to reschedule an appointment if I'm experiencing significant side effects or an unexpected flare.

My hope is that this is only temporary. 🤞🙏🤞If this medication works as intended, I'm optimistic it will lead to fewer autoimmune flares, better overall health, and fewer interruptions in the future... which ultimately means I can continue providing the level of care your pets deserve.

I truly appreciate every one of you for trusting me with your dogs, and I can't thank you enough for your patience, kindness, and understanding as I navigate this new chapter.

Don't let her tiny size fool you... this little princess runs the show! 👑💕

Laney firmly believes the world revolves around her, and honestly... who's going to argue with that adorable little face?
She enjoys every minute of her spa day, especially the warm bath and relaxing shampoo massage.

The only challenge? Those little "happy feet!" 🥹 As soon as it's time to tidy up her paws, those tiny toes start dancing, making foot trims a team effort between patience and persuasion. 😅

She may be little, but she has a personality that's larger than life... and she always leaves looking every bit as regal as she believes she is! 💖🐾
