🎃 Don’t Let Your Dog’s Behavior Scare You this Halloween! 🎃

Spooky season is here… but resource guarding, reactivity, jumping on trick-or-treaters, or that sudden “stranger danger” shouldn’t be the things that keep you up at night. 👻

At DogSpeak Dog Training and Behavior, we turn those scary moments into calm, confident dogs (and happier humans). 🙌

Whether it’s:

• The dog who growls when someone approaches their treat bag 🐾

• The reactive pup who loses it at every costume🐾

• The jumper who thinks every doorbell means “party time”

…we’ve got proven, kind, effective solutions that actually stick.✅

Don’t wait until Halloween night to wish you’d started sooner.💪

Meet my new friend Toby! 👋

Toby tends to “react” to other dogs, sudden noises, and a few everyday surprises. 😰

Instead of labeling him as “aggressive” or “bad,” we’re looking at the root of those big feelings and helping him feel safer in the world. 🙌

We’re approaching it from several angles: • Building calm confidence around triggers✅

• Teaching alternative behaviors he can do✅
• Creating positive associations so the world feels less overwhelming✅
• Giving him clear guidance every step of the way✅

Toby is already showing us he’s capable of so much more when he feels understood.🐾

Proud of this little guy already. 💛

Waiting for the Check-In from Princess🐾

The best training (and the best fun) starts the moment your dog chooses to look at you. 🎉

Not when you call.✅
Not when the leash tightens.✅
Not when the toy appears.✅

When they voluntarily check in—soft eyes, quiet body, “I’m with you”—that’s the green light.💚

Everything before that is just noise. 🐾
Everything after that is connection.🐾

We wait.🐾
They offer.🐾
Then we begin.🐾

That’s how trust is built, one quiet moment at a time. 🙌

Tag a dog who still needs to learn that the real party starts after the check-in.
