Today, on what would have been his 33rd birthday, JOY Inc. honors the life of Charlie Kirk.

In the spirit of Radical Truth and Radical Vulnerability, we'll say this plainly: not everyone in our JOY Inc. family agreed with everything Charlie said, and not everyone will agree with this post. That's exactly the point.

Charlie pulled up a chair, opened the mic, and invited anyone, especially those who disagreed with him, to wrestle out loud with the biggest questions there are. What is true? What is good? Who is God? What does it mean to be free? What do we owe one another?

That is the American idea. In Federalist No. 1, Alexander Hamilton framed this nation as a test of whether people could govern themselves "from reflection and choice" rather than by "accident and force." Reflection and choice are impossible without free speech and honest dialogue.

Benjamin Franklin put it plainly: "Whoever would overthrow the liberty of a nation must begin by subduing the freeness of speech."

At JOY Inc., we live by Radical Truth and Radical Vulnerability, Human Life Value, and Bringing Humanity Back to Industry. That means telling the truth even when it costs us something, and staying open enough to be wrong. We believe ideas should be met with better ideas, questions with deeper questions, and disagreement with respect. Never with violence.

Today Erika Kirk shared that Charlie "lived life with true joy," answering the Lord's call each day, serving his family, and standing as a witness for truth. That is a legacy worth honoring, and a calling worth carrying forward.

We honor you today, Charlie. As you loved to say: Onward!

A late post from a couple weeks ago of our favorite roping competition of the year “ Fiesta & Cowboy Gathering” We are so proud of the whole JOY Equine crew for how they showed up! These young men and women are handy in the roping pen, are becoming good horsemen/women, and overall just lovely people to be around! ❤️💙 A special shoutout to Clif, Hudson, and Jennica for winning the open buckle this year!!! Thank you all for representing JOY Equine well!
