Meet Leia! Leia finished up her Stay & Train a few weeks ago and she has been doing amazingly since returning home! Leia’s owner was putting in work before Leia arrived and it really showed. Leia was one of the more balanced puppies we’ve had come in for training. It was a huge benefit because her owners have aspirations that she might be a service dog in the future and it helped us to move her along quickly and work on more challenging skill and behavioral goals. Aside from a bit of a stubborn streak (hello Spitz breeds of all varieties 😉) she enthusiastically jumped into whatever we asked! We think she’s going to achieve great things and we are looking forward to seeing her soon to continue to advance her skills!

Meet Booker! This goofball finished up his Stay & Train a few weeks ago and we’ve been so pleased to receive multiple positive updates! Booker came in hyper-vigilant, apprehensive of people, reactive and just generally disruptive to his owners. Booker gained confidence, an ability to relax and showed us that underneath all of his nerves was a super fun and intelligent guy who learned that he loves people and play groups with other dogs!

Meet Oliver! Oliver finished up his Stay & Train recently and his owners have been giving him glowing reviews! Ollie was a wild child in a busy household and his owners were looking to dial in some skills and dial back some bad behaviors that had made their appearance. Ollie thrived with clear communication, consistent follow through and enjoyed his play time with other dogs building some social skills. Well done Ollie and family!

Meet Nera! Nera is the third dog to come through our program from her family over the years and boy did they outdo themselves this time! All of their dogs have been great, but they knew the drill and got started with Nera quickly at home and it paid off in big ways. Nera came in way ahead of the curve and we enjoyed doing some finishing and polishing to her obedience and social skills. She’s ready to follow in her sister’s paw prints!

Meet Frannie! Frannie finished up her Stay & Train last week and her owners have given us some lovely updates about her progress since returning home! Frannie came in a very anxious/fearful young dog with low thresholds for stimuli. Frannie clearly had a sweet disposition, but her nervous behaviors were overshadowing her virtues and her owners were having a difficult time. She was barking constantly, had knocked people over, was constantly a ball of nerves on alert and was generally difficult to manage. We spent our time with Frannie building confidence, growing her exposures, helping her to conquer fears and building a practical skill set. Frannie’s best attributes are now shining and everyone can see what her owners always saw. She’s a sweet and enthusiastic girl!

Meet Fergus! Fergus finished up his Stay & Train this week and we already miss this goofball! Fergus is a lot of puppy in a big body. His owners knew he was going to be a giant so they wanted to start early to make sure Fergus had a solid skill set. We worked with their last pup many years ago, so they have a good idea of why to expect and Fergus is in experienced hands back home in West Virginia. Next time we see him, he may be taller than us! 😉
