Chocolate, coffee, and caffeine all sound wonderful to us but they are very harmful to our pets. The concern with these is their methylxanthine concentrations. If your pet ingest methylxanthine they could have vomiting, diarrhea, panting, excessive thirst and urination, hyperactivity, abnormal heart rhythm, tremors, seizure and even die. The more caffeine or darker the chocolate the more toxic it is.

No pain at all is what we all want for our pets. We can help decrease some of the chances of them being painful.

Regular vet exams help. During your pet's exam, one of the things doctors are checking for as the palpate is a pain response.

Brush your pet's teeth regularly cut down on dental disease.

Maintaining your pets weight with diet and exercise can also help keep them comfortable.

Medications can be prescribed and come in pill, liquid, and sometimes topical options. Some pets benefit from alternative therapies, such as massage, chiropractic care, or laser therapy.
