The Humane Society of Southeast Texas is in need of volunteers….ages 16+! See info below and contact them directly for any info.
We’re looking to grow our “permanent” volunteer crew this summer and wanted to see who may be interested!
We’re hoping to find older teens, college students between semesters, and adults who want something more consistent and hands on. For this program, we’re looking for volunteers ages 16+ who can work more independently and become part of our regular team.
This would be a scheduled volunteer opportunity, which makes it perfect for anyone needing volunteer hours, experience for resumes or college applications, or just wanting to spend their time doing something meaningful for animals.
Volunteer duties may include:
• Walking dogs
• Helping with play groups
• Socializing dogs and cats of all ages
• Bathing dogs
• Cleaning kennels and animal areas
• Supporting our staff with day to day shelter tasks
We especially need scheduled volunteer help Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 1pm. You do not have to volunteer every single day. We just ask that volunteers schedule in advance and stay for their full shift so our team and animals can rely on the help.
