Due to the tropical storm and inclement weather, the Humane Society of Southeast Texas will have a limited amount of staff on site for the safety of our staff, volunteers, and most importantly our animals.
🐾 Previously Scheduled Appointments:
If you have a previously scheduled Adoption or Surrender appointment, we will honor your appointment. However, if you would prefer to reschedule, please contact us at your earliest convenience.
🐶Bad Weather Tips for Your Pets
• Keep pets indoors whenever possible and do not leave them outside unattended.
• Bring outdoor pets inside before conditions worsen.
• Make sure pets have fresh water, food, and a safe, dry place to stay.
• Keep pets away from floodwater, which may contain debris, bacteria, or other hazards.
• Secure fences, gates, and outdoor items that could become dangerous in high winds.
• Keep collars/ID tags on pets and make sure microchip information is current in case they become separated from you.
• Have a pet emergency kit ready with food, water, medications, leashes/carriers, and important veterinary records.
• If you must evacuate, take your pets with you, never leave them behind.
