We’re happy to offer one-on-one grooming, walking, and enrichment services for your beloved dog in our serene, forested environment. Throughout my life, I've worked with animals in a variety of environments and capacities -- from internships at the Oregon Zoo and Finley National Wildlife Refuge, to volunteering and working at variou
s animal shelters and boarding kennels, to wildlife rehabilitation. I spent the greater part of 2023 and 2024 exploring canine massage and acupressure through courses offered by the Northwest School of Animal Massage, as well as veterinary technician courses and fear-free work at VCA Central Kitsap Animal Hospital. Through all of these experiences I've gleaned small but impactful knowledge and handling techniques that I can bring to the grooming and other enrichment services we offer, setting us apart from other groomers and dog care businesses. The name Spirit Dog encompasses why I love working with animals and especially dogs. Like a Spirit Animal, Spirit Guide or Animal Totem, there's no other companion animal quite like a dog. Our unique interspecies relationship has evolved over thousands of years into beautiful and mutually beneficial individual relationships with each dog in our life. Dogs have become our family members, and we have become part of their pack. It's a loving bond that transcends species, and yet we're able to communicate with and learn from one another, oftentimes better than with other humans. To be able to work with dogs every day, form those special bonds, enrich their lives, and lengthen their time with us is where I find the most meaning. When I'm not working with dogs, you can find me outdoors with my husband Chris and our three dogs, Chetro, Phurba and Pippin. I also enjoy yoga, working out, climbing, reading, traveling, art, and cuddling with my dogs. Business Hours:
