Yesterday we had to say goodbye the the goodest boy, Kojak. At 7 and a half, this isn't something we were ready for.
A cough just before Christmas turned into a mass on his lung. If that wasn't enough, a couple weeks into the New Year, he began having seizures. A visit to a neurologist and an MRI showed that he also had a tumor in his brain. After a talking to the neurologist, an internist, an oncologist, and our vet, we determined that the best plan was to make him as happy as we could, for as long as we could. Sadly, today was that day.
In is final days, he went on several walks, ran free on the beach, enjoyed eating everything we did (brisket, cheeseburger, ice cream, cinnamon rolls, steak and eggs, bacon egg and cheese biscuit, and finished it up with a Hershey bar).
For a dog that wasn't even supposed to be a keeper, he sure as hell gave us 5 wonderful years! He made friends everywhere and loved visiting and exploring.
Kojak, you will forever be missed!
PS please hug and squish on your dogs for us! 💔♥️
