Why has the Hunter jumper industry focused so much on having rated shows versus schooling shows? I remember back in the day there were more schooling shows than rated shows. It’s unfortunate that trainers won’t go to schooling shows with their clients unless they are affiliated with an organization that has year end awards with points. What happened to showing for the fun of it and developing a horse or rider? Building their confidence? Why spend so much more money going to a “rated” show when you can take more clients to a more affordable schooling show, still win great prizes and have year end awards for half the cost? It seems between wanting to charge clients more day fees or fees in general the horse show scene has changed so much over the last several years. Why are trainers not supporting schooling shows to help build their clients up for the next level of shows that are rated? Clip-Clop Farm is offering several schooling shows with nice prizes, ribbons and show environment at Hitch stables in Folsom LA starting in June. Great environment for all level of riders and horses. Come be the change and bring your clients to make schooling shows fun and popular again. At the end of the day is it about winning and points or is it about fun, horsemanship and development with horse shows? I pray the horse industry down here supports our CCF Hunter Jumper shows and can be the change with the industry. More info check out

One week from today we will have our Clip-Clop Farm Hunter Jumper Classic #1. We are doing final preparations on the grounds to get ready and praying for good weather. We are getting entries in and it’s going to be a fun show! We have here that will have breakfast and lunch for the day! Hey everyone! I’m so excited to be organizing the Clip-Clop Farm Horse Shows for next year already adding more shows for In-Hand/Open Classic along with debuting our Miniature Horse Classic. The Hunter Jumper Classic still will have 5 shows. All of these will be 2-day as well which means more fun! So I need your help with your vote. Please comment with the number from the list which one you would love and or if you have another idea please add! Thanks!

I am so excited to offer this group to our local veterans and first responders who need support, fellowship and prayer. We will plan to meet 1x week every Thursday from 7-9pm at Clip-Clop Farm in Sherwood starting the week of November 7. Days and times may vary but should know by November 1. We will have time to fellowship but also will have certain days where veterans and first responders can bring their families to the farm to be around the horses and ponies. For now though most meetings will be with veterans and first responders. This farm is place of peace and to get away from the stresses of life and focus on God, family, friends and horses. Please let me know if you are interested and I can send some more information.

Whether you or your clients qualified or not for the CCF year-end awards we would love to welcome everyone to this event to celebrate as a horse community for an excellent show season. Special awards to be given out as well. BBQ catering and a whole lot of fun! Semi formal attire. The theme is the “Greatest Showman” like the circus movie where he follows his dreams but can’t wait to tell you next year’s theme.
