‼️ BIG NEWS ‼️

I am excited to share Keganne will be joining the Treat Your Pup family! 🤗

Keganne has been teaching/subbing for 5 years. As much as she loved teaching, Keganne has always had a passion for dogs and she would like to start pursuing her career in dog grooming.

Keganne will be starting in June and will be starting off bathing dogs and then working beside me learning how to groom. For now we will be taking in new bath dogs so Keganne can grow and learn. We will announce when she will be ready to take on groom dogs.

I’m thrilled to be adding her on and can’t wait to see what the future holds for her!

Changes will be made throughout the year and will be announced at a later time. We are still a one on one grooming salon, however now there may be a dog in here while your dog is. Please let us know if your dog isn’t a fan of other dogs so we can switch around if needed. For now please welcome Keganne to Treat Your Pup and share this post to help spread the word!

✨ MEET MAYCI ✨

She’s about 5-6 months old. Her first groom was 5 weeks ago and due to some matting we had to do a full haircut. She wasn’t a fan of the clippers or scissors. Normally I wouldn’t push a full haircut on a puppy if they are not comfortable with the clippers however the matting needed to come off. We slowly did what we could to make sure she was comfortable and happy. Since she wasn’t comfortable I always tell my owners that they need to come back in 4-5 weeks. The more your puppy gets used to the process the better they will do. Fast forward to today, she did SO MUCH BETTER. Did we still try to bite the clippers? Yes, however we were more comfortable with them and since we had a positive experience the first time, the second time was a lot better. As you can tell the huge difference in the pictures how much more comfortable she was. Lots of treats were had because when we do good I like to show positive reinforcement.

Please bring your puppies to get groomed right after their puppy shots are done. The younger they are will help them get used to the process. We need to make sure they have a positive experience when it comes to grooming. It’s for the rest of their lives and we want everyone to be happy! 😊🐾
