🐾 Happy Tails! 🐾

We’re celebrating eight cats and dogs who found homes over the past two weeks!

🐱 Cats: Harry, Wilson, Jackson, Whitney, and Tori
🐶 Dogs: Justice, Holly, and Teddy

Teddy’s first home wasn’t the right fit, but he was adopted into a new home within a week of coming back to us. We’re so glad he got another chance to find his match.

Here’s to forever homes, lasting bonds, and a lifetime of love together! 💛

A huge thank-you to the RCB Bank volunteers who chose the NOKHS Conex cleanout as their United Way Day of Caring project! 💙

Last Wednesday, even with the rain coming down, this team rolled up their sleeves and helped us tackle a project that had been building for years. We sorted through everything in the Conex, cleared out items we no longer needed, set aside supplies we can share with adopters and pet owners in need, and organized the rest into labeled totes and onto shelves.

That work makes a real difference for the shelter. Now our team can find and access supplies more easily, make better use of the space we have, and get useful items to the people and pets who need them. It’s the kind of behind-the-scenes project that helps our day-to-day work run more smoothly and supports animals both inside and outside the shelter.

We’re so grateful to the RCB Bank team for giving their time and energy to help NOKHS. Thank you for showing up on a rainy day and making such a lasting difference! 🐾

🎤 Meet Snoop and Adam! 🐾

These two came to us from Ponca City Animal Control and are now available for adoption.

We’re still getting to know Snoop and will share more about him as we do. Adam has a few good things going for him: he’s potty trained, knows basic commands, and is good with kids.

Stop by the Northern Oklahoma Humane Society to meet them and learn more!

💛 THE LONELY HEARTS CLUB: MEET LILLY! 🐾

199 days in our care. Let's help Lilly find her people!

Lilly is a sweet, loyal, playful 2½-year-old Shepherd mix! She loves following people around to join the action and enjoys playing with other dogs.

Lilly needs more than just a backyard. She'll thrive with active companions who include her in their daily activities and provide regular exercise, enrichment, and a predictable routine. A little structure, positive reinforcement, and consistency will help her settle into her new home.

🐾 Good with: Dogs & kids 10+ (recommended). Lilly can jump when excited, so she'd do best with children who are comfortable around energetic dogs. Her compatibility with cats is unknown.

❤️ After more than six months in our care, Lilly is ready for her next chapter. Could it be with you?

Come meet Lilly and see if she's the right fit for your family!
