Northside Ankeny Clients - Here we go again! The intersection of North 3rd St and NW118th (aka NE 54th in Ankeny) will be closed starting Oct 12th ~ Oct 23rd 'ish. Follow the detour signs to the North or come in to Polk City from the Saylorville marina area.

ROAD CLOSURE AHEAD | NORTHSIDE DRIVE

Beginning Monday, Oct. 12, Northside Drive will be closed from N. 3rd Street to NE 9th Street through Oct. 23.

North and south traffic on N. 3rd Street WILL remain open, similar to the traffic pattern used this summer. Traffic will move through a single lane controlled by temporary signals.

The closure gives crews a safe work zone to finish work at the roundabout and construct the new turn lane at NE 7th Street leading to the new subdivision and our regional park.

Please plan ahead, expect some delays and watch for crews in the area.

Clients coming to see us from the North side of Ankeny - your trip may take longer for a bit.
The blue section on the map is the intersection of Northside Drive (NW 118 St in Ankeny) and N 3rd St (formerly the T intersection). You will be routed farther north & then back south OR come into PolkCity from HWY 415 (Oralabor/NW Polk City Dr). 'Tis the season - Construction Season!

Tomorrow is the big day!

On Thursday, June 4th, the City’s Contractor plans to shift to Stage 3 of the roundabout project. This shift will include moving North-South traffic to the western portion of the intersection, removal of the eastern portion of the intersection, and closure of the east leg of the project intersection. There will be a signed detour routing through traffic around the intersection via NW 44th Street, NW 126th Avenue, and N. 3rd Street. Attached is the detour plan for your review and reference.
