🐾🎉 Happy 3-Year Work-iversary, Vanessa! 🎉🐾

Today, October 9th, we’re celebrating three years of Vanessa being part of our ASVC team! 💙 We’re so grateful to have her for her knowledge, compassion, and dedication she brings to our patients every day.

Vanessa has been working in the veterinary field since 2016 and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Ecology from Iowa State University before completing her Veterinary Technician Certification through Penn Foster College. She loves being a veterinary technician because she gets to help those who can’t speak for themselves and make a difference in the lives of pets and their families. 🐶🐱

When she’s not at the clinic, Vanessa enjoys traveling, reading, doing puzzles, and fostering kittens. She also stays busy with her dog Juno (featured in her picture), and their three cats, Louie, Alfie, and Taz. And as Vanessa puts it, “There’s always room for one more tiny set of paws!” 🐾❤️

Happy 3-year work-iversary, Vanessa! Thank you for everything you do for our team and the pets we care for. We’re so happy to have you at ASVC and look forward to many more years together! 💙

🖤🐈‍⬛ October is Black Cat Awareness Month! Please keep ALL cats indoors, but especially black cats.🐈‍⬛🖤

Unfortunately, black cats can face increased risks during October because of harmful superstitions, Halloween pranks, and people who may intentionally seek them out because of their association with the holiday. While stories about specific acts of cruelty can sometimes be exaggerated or difficult to verify, there is absolutely no reason to take the risk. Keeping all cats indoors is always safer for them year-round, but especially this month.

And because we have a few black cats of our own around ASVC, of course we had to show them off! 🐈‍⬛🎃

🎃🐾 October is National Pet Wellness Month! 🐾🎃

You may notice All Seasons Veterinary Care is looking a little more spooky than usual this month… 👀👻 But while our clinic is getting into the Halloween spirit, we also want to remind you about something a little more important:

Your pet’s wellness visit!

October is a great time to make sure your pet is up to date on their routine care before the holiday season gets too busy. Wellness visits give us the opportunity to check your pet from nose to tail, keep an eye on changes as they age, stay on top of vaccines and parasite prevention, and catch potential problems before they become bigger ones.

October is here and we are EXCITED! 🎃

As you all know October is the busiest months for ASVC in terms of celebrations, anniversaries, and community events!

To sum it up: Vanessa celebrates her 3 year work-iversary on the 9th, ASVC turns 4 years old on the 17th, Veterinary Technician Week is the 19th through the 23rd, AND we will be at the Polk City Trunk or Treat on the 25th. We're pumped! 🐈‍⬛👻🦇

🎉 Happy Work-iversary to Dr. Williamson & Haylee! 🎉

September is a special month here at ASVC because we get to celebrate two members of our team! 🥳

🐾 Dr. Williamson will be celebrating her 1-year work-iversary with us on September 29th!

💙 Haylee celebrated her 2-year work-iversary on September 16th!

We are so lucky to have both of them as part of the ASVC family! Thank you both for everything you bring to our team and, most importantly, to the pets and families we care for every day.

Maisie stopped by to have her saliva swabbed and sent out last Friday, so now we’re waiting on her results. We can’t wait to see what her DNA reveals!

🐾 Meet Kala & Her Sweet Kittens! All Available for Adoption!!! 🐾

We have some very special little patients looking for their forever homes! Kala and her seven kittens have been lovingly fostered for the past six weeks, and we have had the pleasure of helping care for these sweet babies here at All Seasons Veterinary Care. 🤍

Kala was found at a park while extremely pregnant. Despite being in an unfamiliar place, she was incredibly affectionate and wanted nothing more than love, cuddles, and someone to take care of her. Just four days after being brought into foster care, Kala gave birth to seven beautiful kittens!

From the very beginning, Kala has been an amazing mama! She is loving, attentive, and devoted to her babies.

🐱 Meet the kittens!
Terk — All Black Boy
A little shy at first and takes some time to warm up. Once comfortable, he is brave, curious, and full of personality!

Flower — Tuxedo Girl
Shy, loving, and playful.

Tink — Torti/Calico Girl
Brave, loving, and very clingy. This girl loves her people!

Ellie — Torti/Calico Girl
A little darker than Tink with more tabby stripes. She is adventurous, loving, and playful!

🤍 Meet Mama Kala
Kala is truly the sweetest mama. She is incredibly loving and affectionate and would happily accept attention and cuddles all day long. She is believed to be about 18 months old. Because of her personality and needs, Kala will need to be the only pet in her home.

🩺 Health & Adoption Information
We are happy to report that all of the kittens have been healthy throughout their time in foster care. They have received regular checkups and their first round of immunizations. Kala is healthy and has tested negative for both FIV and feline leukemia (FeLV). They will need their booster vaccinations and spay/neuter procedures at approximately 8 weeks of age.

A small rehoming fee will apply to help ensure these kittens find loving, responsible homes.

These babies have been surrounded by love from the very beginning, and we would love to help them find families who will continue giving them the care and attention they deserve!

🐾 Remembering September 11, 2001

Today, we remember the lives lost, the families affected, and the heroes who served, including the incredible dogs who worked alongside first responders and comforted those experiencing unimaginable grief.

Did you know dogs played an important role in the aftermath of 9/11? Their courage, dedication, and ability to bring comfort left a lasting legacy.
