It’s pet obesity awareness day! A little extra fluff can be easy to overlook, but maintaining a healthy weight is an important part of keeping our pets healthy, happy, and active for years to come!

Extra weight can increase the risk of health problems like arthritis, heart disease, diabetes, and many other conditions.

Not sure if your pet is a heathy weight? We’re happy to help! Your veterinarian can assess their body condition and help create a nutrition and exercise plan that works for them.

How do you keep your pet active? Tell us below! 👇🐾

❌ False!

While plain, cooked pumpkin can be a pet friendly treat in moderation, not all pumpkin products are safe. Pumpkin pie filling and other prepared pumpkin products may contain added sugar, spices, or ingredients that can be harmful to our pets.

When in doubt, stick with plain pumpkin and check with your veterinarian before adding something new to your pets diet! 🎃

We typically start kittens on a vaccine schedule at around eight weeks of age. Your kitten will need to return at 12 and 16 weeks and at one year to complete their vaccinations. After that, you will need to bring them in annually for boosters.
