Hazel.
A stray rescue with little socialization, no structure, and no understanding of how to live alongside people.
When she first came in, the world pulled her in every direction. No engagement. No focus. Just survival mode.
What you’re seeing now isn’t obedience built through force — it’s clarity, communication, and trust. The ability to slow down, process the environment, and choose to work with the handler instead of against the leash.
Dogs like Hazel don’t just “know better.” They have to be taught how to exist in our world.
This is why we focus so heavily on engagement before obedience. A dog that is mentally connected can actually learn.
Huge difference from where she started. Proud of this girl. 🖤
