Gigi girl making progress on crate games (this was our first session working on this). She’s super sensitive to her collar but after working on collar grabs in the first session and mom and dad putting in the work, she’s certainly changing her opinion about it. Now we’re able to use that to help her drive right into the crate (after we worked on her going in and out of the crate easily). Remember, what you see here is only a baby step/snippet, there’s so much more to this and the dog tells you how quickly you can progress to the next step. Slow is fast.

Happy Monday all. Kai and I practicing our recalls off of some very interesting brush. There’s probably some animal that passes through there a lot bc he LOVES smelling over there when we walk past and nothing else matters!! Today was cold and quiet with no one around (my kinda day) so I used it as an opportunity to be further away from him and distracted and asked him to come back to me. Have fun with it, set them up for . How’s your recall practice going?

Welcome 3 year old Gigi to The Liberated Pup club! What a sweet pitty mix. We’re working to help Gigi feel safe, grow her confidence, skills and learn potty protocols. Here we are working on introducing her to gentle collar grabs. Looking forward to seeing her and her family grow.

Kudos to these gems who braved the weather to join the group walk and train - the roads were a little icy so pivoted and worked on proofing and improving leash walking skills, working around and passing other dogs. 🐕

Look at Stevie’s name recall, touch, down. She is soooooo smart. Picks things up super quick. She was learning to retrieve a ball and drop it in my hand as well as with a tug rope and she was so quick to learn the first part of leave it. A testimony to the impulse strategies we worked on prior! Magnificent job 🙌🏼
