They donāt teach you loss in grooming school. They teach you how to care for a dogās coat, but never how to say goodbye to one who has become part of your heart.
This is one of the hardest things Iāve ever had to write.
Sweet Daisy White, you touched my heart and soul, and I wish more than anything that I didnāt have to find the words to say goodbye. š¤š¼
Being a groomer means being trusted with someoneās whole world. Over time, those appointments become a relationship. You learn the little expressions, build trust, and find yourself loving a dog whose family has been kind enough to share her with you.
Daisy, caring for you was such a privilege. You became part of my life, and the love I have for you reaches far beyond my grooming table.
Looking through these pictures, Iām smiling through tears. That beautiful face. Those wonderfully silly wigs. The moments with your family and your four-legged friend, and the adventures by the ocean. There is so much life and love in these photographs, and that is how I want to remember you.
As much as my heart hurts, I want to celebrate the happiness you brought into this world. Your life mattered. The joy you gave mattered. And the love you leave behind will live on in all of us who were lucky enough to know you.
To Rod and Collette: thank you for trusting me with your precious girl and allowing me to be part of her life. My heart is with you. I know my goodbye is only a small part of the enormous loss you are feeling. Please know that she was deeply loved by me, Rob and Jetty. She will always be remembered.
Daisy, I would gladly choose to know and love you all over again, even knowing how much this goodbye would hurt.
Rest peacefully, beautiful girl. Thank you for the smiles, the trust, and the memories I will hold close for the rest of my life.
Forever loved. Forever missed. My sweet Daisy White. š¤š¾š
